What Breathfirst is

Breathfirst is a free app, made by the Nuffo team, that guides short breathing pauses with animation, haptics, sound and an optional voice. There is no account, no subscription and no ads. How we handle data is explained in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.

Your health comes first

• Not medical care. Breathfirst is a guided pause for everyday moments. It doesn't diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition, and it isn't a substitute for advice from a doctor or therapist.
• Stop anytime. The breathing is gentle, with no breath holds and nothing fast. Still, if you feel dizzy, light-headed, short of breath or uncomfortable, stop and breathe normally.
• Check first if you need to. If you have a heart or lung condition, are pregnant, or have been told to avoid breathing exercises, ask a health professional before using Breathfirst.
• Stay safe. Don't use eyes-closed mode while driving, cycling, operating machinery or anywhere you need to stay alert.
• In a crisis, contact your local emergency number or a crisis line. Breathfirst can't help in an emergency.

Using Breathfirst

You may use Breathfirst for your own personal, non-commercial use. Please don't copy, resell, reverse engineer or misuse the app, this website or the anonymous counts service, and don't use them in a way that breaks the law or harms others.

Features that depend on your phone, such as widgets, Shortcuts, Control Center, the Action Button, Quick Settings tiles and notifications, work within the limits your phone's operating system sets, and may change when it does.

App stores

If you downloaded Breathfirst from the Apple App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. Apple isn't responsible for the app, its content, maintenance or support, or any claims about it. If you downloaded it from Google Play, Google Play's terms also apply.

What's ours

The Breathfirst name, Pip, the app, its artwork, sounds, voice recordings and this website belong to the Nuffo team. These terms give you a personal licence to use them; they don't transfer ownership. Sharing a link to a pause with friends is always welcome.

No warranty

Breathfirst is free and provided “as is” and “as available”. We work hard to make it reliable, but we can't promise it will always be available, error-free, or right for your situation. Nothing in these terms removes rights you have under consumer law that can't be excluded.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, the Nuffo team isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for any loss arising from use of Breathfirst against the guidance above. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Changes

We may update these terms as the app changes. We'll change the date at the top, and for important changes we'll tell you in the app. If you keep using Breathfirst afterwards, the new terms apply. You can stop using it and delete it at any time.
